HOW TO GET MARRIED IN TENNESSEE

1. Obtain a marriage license from any County Clerk, There are no residency requirements. (To save $60 off of the price, attend a premarital course beforehand and present the certificate of completion to the clerk.)
2. Find an officiant. Make sure the officiant is authorized by state law to perform a marriage ceremony.
3. The officiant will perform either a civil or a religious ceremony, fill out the license, and either the officiant or the couple may return the license to the clerk. 
4. YOU ARE MARRIED! If you have the officiant to return the license, the clerk will mail you the marriage certificate. Our officiant will provide you with a temporary certificate.

He is also authorized to officiate in North Carolina and Kentucky.
